JAIL OFFICERS REVISED SALARY

BENEFITS PACKAGE: Stable work environment, 12 hour shifts, state employee benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance. VRS retirement, 12 sick days and 12 vacation days, 14 paid holidays the first year of employment and paid overtime, etc. Uniforms and training are provided by BRRJA.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary responsibilities are the care and security of inmates.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a U. S. citizen, 18 years of age or older, high school graduate or equivalent, and have a valid Virginia driver’s license. Drug screening and extensive background checks will be performed.

STARTING SALARY: $42,000 (43,869 after one year) Effective August 1, 2022
