Responsibilities:
Sabre Systems is currently looking for a Jr. Network Administrator for an exciting opportunity to configure, test and maintain a large, critical Navy Information Technology system. The selected candidate will support our customer in Lakehurst, NJ. The ideal candidate will have experience in networking, and configuration and setup of switches, routers, uninterruptable power supplies, workstations, media converters and printers. The selected candidate will provide assistance and apply real world operational experience to a team engaged in the design, development, testing, and evaluation of integrated network management and network operations solutions. The selected candidate will provide laboratory setup and configuration of networking components; cabling, power supplies and test equipment experience. The candidate will provide program and project support including troubleshooting, evaluation and root cause analysis of networking systems.

Qualifications:
  • It is preferred that the selected candidate have two (2) years of related experience,and enrolled in college majoring in a Technical Degreed program.
  • Dependable, professional, proactive, willingness to learn, flexible and adaptable, willing to travel; they must have an interest in working in a lab environment.
  • The selected candidate must have experience with working in a professional environment and have basic technical writing skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel
  • Basic Computer/Networking hardware knowledgeBasic cabling/wiring knowledge (ability to install and run cables within a lab environment)
  • Basic understanding of power distribution network (for lab setup and troubleshooting)
  • Experience with basic troubleshooting and troubleshooting steps
  • General Lab (cabling, power, test equipment) and/or networking equipment (Switches, Routers, Media Converters) experience
  • Networking experience, hands-on or course work
  • Any networking certification (CISCO, Alcatel, Windows, etc.)
  • Basic technical writing skills.
  • Willing to travel for work.
  • Able to lift comfortably 50 pounds.
  • Able to climb ladders and stairs up to 10 levels.
  • Active DoD clearance (highly preferred) with the ability to obtain a Top Secret.
  • Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) certifications.
  • Willingness to travel for work is required.
  • Active Security+ certification is requred
  • Candidate must pass a background investigation.
  • Must be an US Citizen
