Job description
The Junior Production Planner is responsible for maintaining the master production plan. The qualified individual will be responsible for managing forecast for long range material planning while considering current inventory levels, obsolescence, lead-times, product life cycles and production capacity. This position interfaces and communicates continuously with customer support, production, engineering, warehouse, purchasing and sales.
- Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products
- Assist in coordinating manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand
- Daily, weekly, monthly, review of existing and future production planning and budgetary planning preparations.
- Ensure that schedules support daily on time shipping performance
- Working with the purchasing and manufacturing departments, monitor and plan the usage of key raw materials by utilizing MRP systems
- Support the new product development process though participation on NPI teams, work on product introductions, transitions, etc.
- Responsible for assuring that assigned activities are performed in accordance with Seabrook Quality System procedures.
- High School Diploma/GED required,
- Proficient in MS Office, strong Excel skills needed
- Demonstrated experience with MRP/ERP systems, required
- Ability to maintain good relations with suppliers and internal customers.
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to communicate.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Office, the internet and Inventory Control databases utilizing MRP. Visual Manufacturing software experience a plus.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position at times
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access, file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Lifting/carrying Maximum lbs: 50
