JOB DESCRIPTION

If so, then we encourage you to apply for the role of Junior System Administrator at ETQ.

The Jr. System Admin will support our main office in Burlington, MA, as well as our full-time remote workforce (over 200 employees in total and growing!). This role is a mix of Jr. System Admin and end-user support. This role will drive innovation for technology within the company supporting all teams. This role will engage with in-office & remote users to resolve incidents daily, and if necessary, escalate incidents on behalf of users to other ETQ stakeholders, while providing timely updates to employees until the incident is resolved.

The person stepping into this role must be comfortable supporting executive members and key leaders throughout the organization. Effective, dynamic, and thorough communication is a key to success. This role will support ETQ’s internal end users, primarily around their devices, accounts, and IT services. In addition, the System Admin will be responsible for onboarding new employees, including deploying PC & Mac devices, setting up necessary accounts in our systems, and procuring any specialty equipment or software as needed.

What to expect

• Innovate company technology stacks with modern best practices
• Provide support for both remote users and users in our Burlington, MA office
• Onboard new users, including deploying devices and setting up accounts & software

• Manage Endpoint protection (AV) and Device Management agents for users
• Work on user incidents in a ticket management system
• Proactively work with users to drive technology adoption & usage
• Create, review and revise IT documentation (used by both IT and end users)
• Evaluate and propose improvements for IT processes and procedures

• Provide VIP support for executive leadership and key functions
• Be able to effectively communicate regular updates to all levels of the company
• Maintain the security and privacy of ETQ’s information assets
• Assists with all stages of IT initiatives and special project
• Research solutions to simple and complex issues and areas for improvement

What you need to succeed

• 2+ years experience supporting IT in an enterprise environment (300+ employees)
• Experience supporting Mac devices in an enterprise environment is required

• Experience supporting Windows user devices in Active Directory is required
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to complete tasks with limited supervision
• Initiative to become an expert in relevant areas of IT

• Identify support needs and develop/deliver programs to meet those needs
• The drive to work independently, proactively solve issues, as well as working with the team
• The ability to effectively communicate timely updates to stakeholders is required
• The drive to fix things assigned or otherwise, and work with stakeholders to improve ETQ.
• Bachelor’s degree in technology or comparable experience is preferred

Compensation

The base cash compensation range for this role is $65,000-$90,000 USD*

• Please note: Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise and geographic region & may vary from the amount above. This range does not represent additional compensation benefits (such as sales commissions, short- and long-term incentive packages, 401K match, medical, dental or vision insurance).
