We are seeking a Junior Cyber Security Analyst for our corporate offices in Tulsa, OK, or Los Angeles, CA. Under the general supervision of the VP of IT, the Cyber Security Analyst will need to be able to communicate cyber security issues clearly and propose solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner; provide one-on-one end-user training as required, and forward more complex problems to security engineers, and perform related security & IT work as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and demonstrate an understanding of customer and business needs within the Fox infrastructure
• Monitor computer networks and systems for security issues
• Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents
• Document security breaches, initiate forensics analysis, and assess the damage they caused
• Install and manage security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure
• Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard
• Help develop company-wide best practices for IT security
• Help personnel install security software and information security management
• Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management
• Conduct proof of concepts for new security tools
• Perform patch management on systems
• Write and enforce security policies
• Conduct security training
• Maintain current knowledge of industry technologies and continually strive to improve understanding of internal operations
• Help with urgent non-security related service desk tickets as needed
• Identify, diagnose and resolve issues as reported to the Service Desk through the Service Desk Portal, phone, email, or security tools

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1-year applicable experience with the above duties (including internships & military experience).
• Or six months of experience with applicable certifications (e.g., Network+, Security+, etc.) or higher education degrees (CS, MIS, IT, Cyber Security, etc.)
• Insatiable curiosity to find out how things work and how to improve them
• Applicants must be willing to work any day of the year, including weekends (excluding company holidays).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with IT ticketing systems
• Remote desktop support
