Job description
Junior DevOps Engineer
Deliver IAAS, PAAS, and SAAS solutions across various providers (Amazon, Azure, Google, Vmware vcloud, etc). Analyze existing processes, workflows, and dataflows to help optimize operations, construct migration plans and assist with platform choices. Work with Development groups in transforming their existing roles to support hybrid cloud development and various constraints associated with transitioning from traditional methods. Enhance internal/private cloud to ease shifting of workloads between cloud vendors and platforms. Work with application managers to forecast pricing for development and applications living in the hybrid cloud. Ability to customize OSS for specialized needs.
Requirements:
3+ Years of experience
Strong understanding of core infrastructure protocols (TCP-IP, Multicast, DNS, Load Balancing, etc)
Knowledge of Linux systems
Financial Services Experience Preferred
Knowledge of Hypervisors : Xen, VMware, KVM
Knowledge of Redhat offerings and solutions : Ceph, Gluster, CloudForms, OpenStack, OpenShift
Knowledge of Open Source Tools : Ansible, Kubernetes, Mesos, Swarm, Docker, Packer, rkt, Nomad, Fleet, Grafana, Promethus, collectd, statsd
Knowledge of CI/CD Automation Tools: GitLab, Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, GitHub, Bamboo
Experience with scripting languages : BASH, Python, REST API, Ansible, Puppet, Perl, Ruby
Understanding of C, C++, JAVA
Experience with Databases clusters & High Availability: Postgres, MYSQL, SQL Server, Red Shift, Azure DB
Experience with designing secure LAN & WAN networks
Linux Kernel Tuning Experience a plus
