Position

We are looking for a Part-Time Junior Graphic Designer to join our Marketing Team! This role will be responsible for supporting our Senior Graphic Designer on a number of projects such as designing Solar-branded products, creating unique content for social media, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Provides design support to the graphic designer and marketing team
  • Maintains brand standards/ensures all creative supports brand identities
  • Works with multiple brand identities/guidelines
  • Collaborate with Director of Marketing & Communications, Marketing Specialist and Senior Graphic Designer to design unique and creative content for Solar’s social media channels
  • Conceptualize and design for Solar-branded products (ex: labeling for flower, concentrate and edibles lines)
  • Design marketing collateral with new materials that align with Solar’s brand direction and story
  • Brainstorm and update website regularly with new creative content
  • Design digital, print and OOH advertisements for Solar and Solar product lines
  • Assist with editing cannabis photography for Solar website, social platforms, and marketing collateral
  • Assist in designing promotional content for in-house events/educational seminars, as well as offsite Boston Cannabis Conferences (Cultivator Cup, NECANN, Boston Cannabis Week, Boston Freedom Rally, Terptown Throwdown)
  • Work with the video production team and provide any type of designed assets for branded video content
  • Work with third-party merchandise planner for designs and order fulfillment on quarterly basis with support from Marketing Specialist, Senior Graphic Designer and Marketing Associate
  • Design visual assets in Solar’s communication platforms (Alpine IQ, social media channels, website, online menu banners, etc)
  • Assist with design of promotional + corporate items and printed materials
  • Update Solar product decks as necessary
  • Make edits to files(signage, packaging, digital assets) in need of updating as it relates to price, product, and compliance
  • Implements all standards/guidelines to be compliant with the Cannabis Control Commision
  • Places online orders for printed marketing/wholesale materials (staples, vistaprint)
  • Contributes to team meetings/brainstorming sessions and proactively offers thoughtful ideas and feedback
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, After Effects)
  • Must be Detail-oriented
  • Have genuine and positive energy
  • Excellent work ethic, reliability, and professionalism
  • Cannabis knowledge preferred
  • Works well independently and can receive/apply critique
  • Is organized and able to multitask
  • Has strong and effective communication skills

Requirements

  • Minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Possess valid driver’s license or state ID.
  • Must pass all required background checks.
  • Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
  • This job function may include being in a stationary position, or moving for extended periods of time.
  • Must submit a portfolio
  • Ability to work primarily in office
