The Doe Fund (TDF) is looking for a Program Analyst to join their data management team, which develops and maintains The Doe Fund’s SQL-based management information systems (MIS). Responsible for all data collection, storage, reporting, and analysis on program participation and outcomes, the data management team is integral to The Doe Fund’s mission to help homeless and formerly incarcerated men achieve stable housing and full-time employment. Data is requested, used, and analyzed on a daily basis. The Doe Fund relies on data not only to promote the effects of its programs but also to identify and change areas that need improvement. The Program Analyst is an entry-level data management position, reporting directly to the Senior Program Analyst and Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager. It is the perfect position for someone with a basic knowledge of relational databases who wants to gain experience in social services data management.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and conduct all end-user training in TDF’s management information system (MIS) applications.
  • Provide MIS end-user support via phone, email, or in person.
  • Develop, maintain, and deploy MIS training materials.
  • Help identify, propose, and implement data collection and tracking solutions.
  • Participate in all MIS development and upgrade design.
  • Perform thorough and rigorous application testing prior to deployment of MIS changes.
  • Assist in developing and running scheduled and ad hoc data reports.
  • Conduct basic data analysis to identify trends and correlations.
  • Perform daily quality control checks on newly entered data.
  • Run weekly quality control reports and initiate corrective action.
  • Help to develop systems that ensure data is consistent across various electronic and physical platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and reporting and analysis tools.
  • A high level of proficiency in MS Excel.
  • A strong understanding of technical and analytical limitations and capabilities.
  • Knowledge of basic statistics.
  • Extremely high attention to detail.
  • Ability to successfully communicate technical concepts to individuals with limited technical understanding.
  • A strong interest in homeless services / social services / criminal justice re-entry services.
