Juvenile Case Management Specialist

Performs administrative support duties for the Court and Calendar Services Program including case management tasks, scheduling, and processing juvenile court petitions, and court calendar coordination.
- Processes petitions and intakes to coordinate the scheduling of hearings and case management tasks, in accordance with legal and procedural timelines and program policies.
- Responsible for the timely and accurate scheduling of the juvenile court calendar and the processing of court documents including review of completeness and accuracy of information and notification to ensure efficient case flow.
- Assists with assignment and distribution of judicial and attorney caseloads.
- Schedules activities and calendars blocks onto the juvenile court calendar.
- Researches case history and gathers information from manual and automated systems.
- Notifies attorneys, parties, agencies, judicial division, and court staff of court hearing and other pertinent case information.
- Receives, compiles, and/or distributes petitions and court documents to all interested parties in a timely manner.
- Answers questions regarding the scheduling process and calendaring issues.
- Responds to inquiries concerning work unit procedures, policies, activities and services, and research information as needed.
- Prints, processes, and distributes court calendars to various areas of the court and agencies.
- Troubleshoots calendar issues, identifies conflicts and advises of potential issues.
- Assists in implementing new changes and additions to the court calendar.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
A High School diploma or equivalent G.E.D. certificate and three years of clerical and/or data entry experience. OR an Associate’s degree (a minimum of 60 semester hours may substitute for the degree requirement) from an accredited college or university and one year of clerical and/or data entry experience. Or, any equivalent combination of experience, training and/ or education approved by Human Resources.
Preference may be given for work experience involving the preparation and processing of legal documents or providing clerical support in a court setting, to an attorney, in law enforcement, corrections, probation, child welfare or related areas.

Retirement Plan participation is mandatory for all eligible employees to include a mandatory pre-tax pay deduction. July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023, the deduction for Retirement Pension & Health Insurance Benefit is 12.03% and Long Term Disability Income Plan 0.14% to constitute a total of 12.17% deduction.
Education Reimburement Program: The program will provide up to $5,250 per calendar year towards the cost of tuition, required books, registration fees, and laboratory fees. The Employee's lifetime maximum benefit would be for reimbursement of one Bachelor's degree and one Master's degree.
