JOB SUMMARY:

The Kitchen Staff is responsible for taking food orders, preparing food as ordered as quickly and efficiently as possible based on established recipes or customer request, and providing excellent customer service to our guest.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Customer Satisfaction is our top priority- which means going above and beyond to keep our customer happy.
• Must run POS system a charge properly for each item ordered.
• Maintain and monitor all funds entrusted to him/her on their assigned shift- balancing at the end of each shift.
• Responsible for cash handling errors and/or shortages as outlined in company policy/procedures.
• Must ensure portion and quality control, and proper presentation of food.
• Maintain food and safety standards.
• Assist with prep work- slicing tomatoes, dicing onions, pre- bag frozen items, etc.
• Assist with putting stock in proper areas on truck delivery days.
• Assist with the general daily cleaning of the kitchen areas to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
• Meets attendance guidelines of the job, adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
• Attend all necessary training meetings and assist in other projects as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age upon employment.
• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• Previous kitchen experience is preferred.
• Must maintain impeccable personal hygiene and health standards.
• Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English,
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must maintain a valid Food Handler Permit.
• Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid Key license through the QNGA.

• Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
• Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.
