LinQuest is seeking a Knowledge Manager to support the 10th Space Warning Squadron (10 SWS) at Cavalier Space Force Station, North Dakota. This position applies knowledge management principles, solutions, and technologies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of personnel operating and maintaining the Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS) radar. An active Secret clearance is required.
The squadron operates and maintains the world's most capable phased-array radar system. The Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS) continuously provides critical missile warning and space surveillance data to North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), United States Space Command (USSPACECOM), and regional combatant commanders. PARCS monitors and tracks more than half of all earth-orbiting objects to enable space situational awareness and space control. Additionally, 10 SWS provides attack characterization data to the Secretary of Defense and the President for real time war plan execution decisions. 10 SWS is a geographically separated unit of Space Delta 4, Buckley Space Force Base, Colorado.
A strong candidate can perform Knowledge Management for a wide array of personnel supporting PARCS operations, maintenance, and sustainment. In this position, you will:
- Create, execute, and maintain a KM Plan
- Capture employee knowledge for transfer to new employees
- Capture lessons learned and corporate knowledge of workers who maintain the radar, weapon system, and communication systems
- Identify and document information missing from technical manuals or operating instructions.
- Codify and direct training and qualification requirements for new employees
- Codify how knowledge is documented and shared with employees
- Codify initiatives to recruit employees
- Perform Records Management requirements. Create, maintain, and dispose of records IAW AFMAN 33-363 and AFI 33-364
- Ensure employees receive OPSEC training and have knowledge of the critical information list
- Demonstrated ability to prepare quality training products
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and turn staff products rapidly in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Ability to work projects unsupervised
- SharePoint design and development
- Publications and forms management
- Preparing, controlling, and processing written/electronic communications
- Document security
- Planning and coordinating the life-cycle of organizational data and information assets
- Knowledge of collaboration/web applications
- An active Secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
- 5+ years of experience in knowledge management
- Upgraded Early Warning Radar or Ground Based Radar experience.
- Experience working in remote and/or austere work environment
- BA/BS or MA/MS degree in business, mathematics, computer science, or information systems
