This is a limited duration appointment expected to last approximately 1 year from the appointment begin date.
Cooperative Chemical Analytical Laboratory (CCAL) is a trace level, environmental water analysis lab in the College of Forestry. CCAL is a production lab that supports research by internal and external customers. This position will provide support with basic lab duties that include acid washing of bottles, data entry, logging samples, preparations for analyses.

Training or experience demonstrating the a) knowledge of basic laboratory techniques; b) knowledge of laboratory terminology, equipment, and materials; c) knowledge of basic math; d) ability to follow formulas accurately; e) ability to handle, package, and store laboratory specimens and materials; f) ability to operate and maintain standard laboratory equipment; g) ability to learn routing testing methods, procedures, and techniques; h) ability to keep accurate records in conformance with laboratory procedures; and i) ability to follow written and verbal instructions.High school courses, in chemistry, biology, mathematics, or any course which included laboratory work, are considered qualifying.
Additional Required Qualifications- Attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Comfortable working in a laboratory environment with chemicals.
- Good communication skills; written and oral.
- Previous laboratory coursework or experience.
- Demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
- Laboratory work includes working with chemicals; proper protective equipment is provided.
- This is a short term, limited duration position. Maximum of 40 hours per week. Work days are Monday through Friday.
