Clinical Laboratory Manager Description:

• The Laboratory Manager provides managerial oversight for a department of the clinical laboratory which may include multiple departments and more than one direction.
• Assists the director in preparation and adherence to the departmental budgets and is accountable to managing the unit
• Provides operational and technical oversight within these sections, and works closely with the Medical Director, and leadership team to formulate section activities, modify, and implement test procedures and policies, and maintain adherence to all regulatory (TJC, CAP, CLIA) regulations.
• Laboratory Manager supports clinical Lab functions if staff is unavailable.
• Must be able to oversee the work of others and make fair judgment about work skills and behaviors. Directs and/or supervises the clinical training of others. Ensures the Lab meets established Quality measurements
• General Schedule would be primarily a Monday-Friday day shift position, 40 hours per week.

Clinical Laboratory Manager Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related field required
• 10 years of experience in a laboratory setting
• ASCP certification or equivalent required
• Ability to provide excellent customer service skills and exhibit a professional attitude
