Responsibilities
- Must be able to access employee performance, provide frequent productive feedback to employees, and conduct performance reviews.
- Candidate must be able to identify and implement necessary personnel coaching, training, and development to upgrade and maintain employee skill levels to keep pace with current and future company requirements.
- Maintain effective communications with the production/floor manager to optimize production and process improvement activities.
- Complete maintenance requirements for equipment. Ensure timely maintenance is being performed and proper records are being maintained.
- Must have able to breakdown a blueprint to determine machining that is required to create plans and subsequent dimensions to be machined and their permissible tolerances.
- Program and set up machinery to assure efficient use of tools, time and product conformity.
- Observe operation and verifies conformance on first run and sample work pieces to required specifications using instruments such as micrometers, verniers, height gages, and indicators.
- This position requires an eye for detail and the ability to closely follow written and verbal instructions.
- Visual Acuity: Near acuity and accommodation are required for work under the microscope, blueprints and precision measuring instruments.
