Position Summary:

The Lead IT Technician is responsible for assisting the Chief Information Officer with the information and communications systems for Catholic Charities in Yakima, Richland, Wenatchee, Sunnyside, Moses Lake, and Catholic Charities Housing Services. Travel to other locations as needed for coverage. This position must take initiative in supervising, delegating, and guiding the work of Information Technicians to ensure all help desk tickets are responded to in a timely, professional manner. The position will also perform all other duties of an IT Technician.

Responsibilities:

Manage and Supervise IT Technicians and oversee delegation of tasks

  • Delegate site coverage for each technician
  • Approve time off request to ensure system coverage
  • Provide weekly supervision and oversite of the technicians work
  • Monitor help desk tickets and timeliness and professional manner
  • Maintain IT inventory

Assist in the maintenance of the day to day computer systems operations

  • Respond to help desk tickets and troubleshoot any problem areas as requested
  • Assist with the tracking of software licensesÂ
  • Provide coverage when the other IT staff is out of the office
  • Travel to other offices as requested
  • Assist with end user support issues
  • Track all staff technical support requests in a ticketing system

Assist with the support and maintenance of the following server/client based and other software platforms

  • Qualifacts CareLogic
  • Google G Suite
  • Office 365 transition and implementation
  • Windows current applications
  • Hyper-V, Active Directory, Group Policy, WDS, WSUS
  • Software applications required by program departments and funders

Implement updates and development changes to the computers and system network

  • Assist with the installation of new computers, IT equipment and software as requested
  • Assist with the operation and maintenance of the network
  • Assist with network infrastructure

Assist with the phone and voicemail system for all Catholic Charities locations and CCHS

  • Add and remove employee names as requested
  • Configure Dial-in-Direct (DID) extensions
  • Assist with video conferencing needs during normal business hours

Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Physical Requirements:

This position normally requires the physical demands of standing, walking, bending, lifting or performing other work requiring low physical exertion, as well as keyboard fingering, talking, hearing and adequate vision on a regular basis to perform the job requirements. These physical demands are required up to 90% of the time.

Non-Physical Requirements:

Education

  • Associates (AA) or Technical Degree preferred

Experience

  • 5+ years experience working with computer hardware and software
  • Lead or supervisory experience preferred

  • Provide excellent customer service to staff and clients
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and managers
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with designated timelines
  • Ability to maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to keep records and information confidential
  • Ability to troubleshoot computer hardware and software issues
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with network components such as switches, routers, firewalls, etc.
  • Self-starter, able to work independently without constant supervision
  • Knowledge of PBX and voicemail systems

Licensure, Registration, Certification

  • Valid Washington State drivers license and agency minimum required liability insurance
  • A+, Network+, CCENT/CCNA and/or Microsoft (MCSA. MCSE) Certifications Preferred

Employment is conditional upon:
