Major Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, development and implementation of applications and interfaces integrated with databases
- Working with staff, contractors, and business area management to integrate new versions of programs.
- Relational database skills including writing queries, reports, and data extraction
- Provide technical support for created products to users
- Helping to coordinate training activities for application users and the Trainers in the business areas.
Skills and Requirements
- Associate Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Technology or a related field. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Equivalent work experience may be substituted.
- Experience with Information/Operations Technology design and implementation
- Experience with web application development tools or concepts
- Experience with network, server, and desktop hardware and software technologies
- Willingness to learn new technology
- Experience with Microsoft and Oracle databases a plus
- Understanding or ability to learn relevant Compliance Regulations and Policies
- Strong analytical, complex problem solving and successful negotiation skills
- Experience and proactive mind to work as an application developer and capacity to lead discussions with managers and senior technicians within the organization to meet priorities and resolve issues
- Good working knowledge of programming languages:
o Design, development of client-server applications
o Interfacing with API libraries, web services
