A leading biotechnology company is looking for a Lead QA Test Engineer. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of quality assurance, including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met. The ideal candidate has testing experience, preferably in a product organization.
- Hourly pay: $90-$100/hr

Lead QA Test Engineer Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute testing for new and cutting-edge products in the healthcare industry.
- Perform requirement and design analysis and prepare functional, regression, and performance tests, test cases, and test data.
- Develop and maintain test plans and test strategy, good in estimation, planning, and presentation.
- Collaborate with product management to triage defects and conduct product beta testing and showcases with stakeholders.
- Experience in security testing, globalization testing, and performance testing.
- Report defects, publish and present test reports, and analyze through presentations.
- Understand product requirements and design; proactively participate in requirement gathering phase.
- Participate in the product development process to ensure that customer requirements are met.
- Establish and evolve formal QA best practices, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices.
- Work closely with application development, architecture, and infrastructure teams for automation, performance testing, and application analysis initiatives to define success criteria.
- Oversee all aspects of quality assurance, including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
- Be part of the recruitment team for recruitment and conduct Mentoring and training for the team and new team members.
- Deal with diverse and oftentimes complex issues, where analysis may require in-depth evaluation of many factors.
- Exercise judgment in evaluating methods and may determine criteria for obtaining solutions.
- May coordinate the activities of other employees. Network with senior internal and external personnel in area of expertise as well as some key contacts outside area of expertise
Lead QA Test Engineer Qualifications:
- 8+ years of testing experience, preferably in a product organization. A seasoned professional with wide-ranging experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.
- Master’s degree is desired but not mandatory.
- Experience in testing business intelligence/analytics applications or software for multi-tenant enterprise SaaS applications is a big plus.
- Test Automation frameworks experience (such as Selenium, Cypress, Jmeter, Rest-Assured)
- Open minded Test professional with an approach to optimize/improve existing framework/process with minimal re-work.
- Proficient in SQL and manual testing frameworks.
- Proficient in developing automation frameworks for UI and API Testing
- Experience using bug-tracking systems such as Jira.
- Proficient in Test Case designing as well as execution for UI, API & Database systems.
- Well-versed in performance baselining, workload distribution, and load/stress testing.
- Experience in globalization testing, UX & wireline document testing.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise application architecture and technologies, including databases, web, web services, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance and testing processes using the Agile model.
- Strong comprehension, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, quick learner, and good troubleshooting capabilities
- Provide support to L2/L3 teams, mentor new team members, and participate in the hiring process.
- Good analytical and logical skills and the ability to learn new tools and technologies.
- Experience working in a regulated environment of the healthcare, diagnostics, and/or pharmaceutical industry with Information Security and Computer System Validation (CSV).
