Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Consistently and independently follows routine work procedures.
  • Operates within a variety of work area(s) to support the supply chain requirements of a continuous flow manufacturing process to meet production and quality standards.
  • Identifies process disruptions/malfunctions, troubleshoots the problem and makes routine repairs/adjustments per standard operating procedures and protocols.
  • Performs routine inspections to ensure quality standards. 
  • Focuses on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production processes and establishes key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.
  • Promotes alignment by understanding and communicating customer needs and requirements throughout the organization. 
  • Process Areas: Material Handling, Forklift Operation, Inventory, Order Receipt, Inspection, Fulfillment and Shipping.
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures defined by the company safety program and OSHA regulations to eliminate work related injuries. 
  • Practices Lean principles and participates in Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects. 
  • Responsibilities are within the Supply Chain Management Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines  
  • Performs supply chain and logistics functions, such as Material Handling, Forklift Operation, Inventory, Order Receipt, Inspection, Fulfillment and Shipping. 
  • Helps create integrated processes among internal functions (e.g., operations, purchasing and logistics) and outside suppliers 
  • Transports materials/finished product using a forklift truck or reach truck to designated locations within the warehouse, which may include loading, unloading and order picking  
  • Fulfills orders, including order entry, administration, and shipping 
  • Processes orders and ensures orders flow effectively through systems and processes in accordance with the organization's customer service standards 
  • Develops capacity plans to support build-to-stock and/or build-to-order environments 
  • Ensures adequate inventory levels are maintained to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost 
  • Assists with the volume and demand planning analyses and supply and production schedules  
  • Manages the organization's warehouses, including processing, packaging and storage of supplies, materials and equipment 
  • Accounts for all materials and supplies in the stores facilities; audit goods received into warehouse 
  • Oversees receipt, storage and shipment of materials, and related reporting in accordance with established procedures 
  • Prepares and coordinate schedules for shipping and receiving materials to control the flow of goods and regulate warehouse space 
  • Monitors internal and external information to establish and effectively manage an order backlog

Experience/Education

  • Three or more years of experience required. 
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English. 
  • Must be at least 18 years or older. 
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred. 
  • Previous experience training and/or leading others required. 
  • Previous experience in material handling and shipping /receiving experience required. 
  • Experience working with automated demand fulfillment systems required.

Job Factors/Work Environments

Work involves physical demands typically found in a manufacturing environment, such as but not limited to: prolonged standing, bending, lifting and/or moving materials.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.50 - $19.50 per hour
