Stepping Stones Montessori School, a private Montessori school, serving children ages 3 years to 15 years, seeks experienced lead guides at the primary level to join our school in the 2022-23 academic year.

Stepping Stones Montessori School offers programs in Children’s House Primary Program (ages 3-6), Lower Elementary (ages 6-9), Upper Elementary (ages 9-12), and Middle School (ages 12-15). In addition, Stepping Stones offers robust after-school programs for Children's House and Elementary.

Lead Guide Benefits/Compensation:

• 38-55K (depending on years of experience/education)

Lead Guide Responsibilities:

• Classroom Experience
• Growth-mindset
• Ability to develop strong relationships with students
• Understanding of the triangle between the child, parents, and the school
• Strong parent relationships
• Understanding and knowledge of the first plane of development
• Skilled in the work required to be a prepared adult
• Leadership characteristics

Lead Guide Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (Required)
• AMI Diploma or AMS Certificate (Required)
• Classroom Experience
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

Since 1983, Stepping Stones Montessori School has offered a premier Montessori education in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Our students leave our program confident and self-directed, with a love of learning. Our campus is located in Central Grand Rapids, one mile north of the “Medical Mile”. In addition to our main campus, our school hosts a Middle School program at a nearby farm.

Pay: $38,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
