POSITION SUMMARY: The Lead Technician is a seasonal employee that will provide lawn mowing services through the Grasshopper Program season. The Lead Technician will be responsible for providing lawn mowing services to applicable Comanche Nation Tribal Members in the program service area. Work schedule will be subject to change based on inclement weather or unfavorable weather conditions.

**POSITION REQUIREMENT:

• Applicant must possess a vehicle capable of hauling heavy equipment and trailer.
• Applicant must possess motor vehicle insurance with applicant listed as a "covered" driver.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Mow lawns using push and/or riding lawn mowers.
• Trim and edge around sidewalks, flowerbeds and walls utilizing a weed eater.
• Perform general grounds keeping duties.
• Provide routine maintenance on lawn mowing equipment.
• Sweep walkways of debris.
• Cut down tree limbs and remove brush that may impede job related responsibilities.
• Complete required paperwork (time sheets and job site reports).
• Utilizes safety equipment efficiently and properly.
• Unload/load equipment, material, clean out truck/trailer by removing trash and debris on a daily basis.
• Wash dirty equipment, including all mower decks, and return to storage location.
• Report damaged or broken equipment immediately.
• Utilizes personal vehicle and is responsible for routine maintenance.
• Maintains Valid personal motor vehicle insurance through duration of employment.
• Submits daily reports of work completed and all pertinent information as requested by Supervisor.
• Secures all equipment safely.
• Completes daily inventory of all materials used.
• Communicates with clients (in person or by telephone call).
• Completes every line on work order and obtains signature from client for work rendered (incomplete work orders will not be acceptable or accepted).
• Required to treat Comanche Nation Elders (clients) in a respectful and professional manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

REPORTS TO: The Grasshopper Program Supervisor. Will supervise assigned Technician Assistant to meet program objectives.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must have the ability to bend, squat, stoop and stand for long intervals to complete job duty. Must be able to lift up to 30lbs. or more consistently throughout the work day.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be capable to work in extreme heat, extreme humidity and all other weather conditions. Will work outside on personal property in varying cities and rural communities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess lawn maintenance experience.
• Must possess a Valid Oklahoma Drivers License.
• Must possess valid motor vehicle insurance on vehicle utilized for position.
• Must have reliable transportation capable of hauling a trailer for equipment.
• Must be willing to submit to and pass a drug test and criminal background investigation.
