SCS Global Services is seeking qualified contract Lead Verifiers for The Climate Registry (TCR) Electric Power Sector (EPS) Entities. This is a contract position.

Relevant Services/Schemes

• The Climate Registry (TCR) General Reporting / Verification Protocols
• The Climate Registry Electrical Power Sector (EPS) Protocols

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as Lead Verifier for verification of The Climate Registry (TCR) Electric Power Sector (EPS) Entities including:
  • Conducting kickoff meetings
  • Development of risk assessment and verification plan
  • Performing required data checks for inventory data and data management systems
  • Documentation, communication, and closure of audit findings
  • Development of verification report and verification statement
• Complete audits as contracted by adhering to the agreed timeline, reporting deliverables, and professional requirements
• Communicate in a timely and professional manner with SCS and client coup-to-date
• Maintain up to date competency records including training logs and calibration activities
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SCS program requirements and external scheme requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering-related discipline
• At least 4 years of experience as a Lead Verifier for GHG verification projects
• At least 2 prior verification projects working on TCR EPS verifications
• Professional experience with the following industries:
  • Power Generation & Transmission
  • Electric Power Transactions
• CARB Mandatory GHG Reporting Regulation Accredited Lead Greenhouse Gas Verifier (sector specialization in Transactions a plus)
• Excellent technical writing and/or editing skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to complete complex and time-sensitive projects

Additional Preferred Skills

• Multi-language proficiency (e.g. English, Spanish) preferred

Physical Requirements

Must be able to sit 6+ hours per day. Keyboarding 6+ hours per day. Must be able to speak and listen in person and on the phone. Must be able to physically travel to audit sites via plane and/or car. Travel requirements are determined on a project-by-project basis.
