YOUR DIRECT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Turn raw video footage into a seamless final product seen by the entire internet and reviewed by the Post Production Leadership Team.
  • Cut and trim videos in such a way as to add to its entertainment value from start to finish.
  • Deliver fresh, entertaining content to keep viewers coming back as well as gain interest and attention of new viewers
  • Highlight funny/epic moments
  • Maintain a passion for YouTube and the internet including but not limited to:
    • Trends
    • Memes
    • Graphics
  • Manage Assistant Editors
    • Train new hires
    • Manage their daily workload (assignments, check-in, updates, etc)
      • New Hires will be Assistant Editors and responsible for setting up videos, getting roughs done, etc. All this will be overseen by the Channel Lead
    • Help set milestones for new hires
    • Track progress from time of hire
    • Supervise Assistant Editors in execution of feedback/QC notes, setting up edits, etc
    • Give performance reviews and feedback
  • Edit all videos for the channel, with the help of Editor(s) and Assistant Editor(s)
    • Lead is still expected to do the finishing edits or ‘polish’ on the videos and maintain a standard of quality from the Editors and Assistant Editors
  • Report to Supervisor throughout the day as needed
    • Keep track of any issues that might arise and report to Supervisor so that these issues can be managed or mitigated in a timely manner
    • Work with Post Supervisor to plan out upcoming workload based on changes in the Pre/Prod process, schedule changes, trends that pop up, Brand Deals, etc
    • Will also work with Post Supervisor to maintain TBNR editing quality standards and practices. Includes, but not limited to helping to QC any video iteration that the Lead has not directly edited.
  • All other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

  • Working knowledge of Windows operating system
  • Familiarity with Epidemic Music is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of editing practices as they pertain to YouTube content
  • Great communication
  • YouTube backend & analytics
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Experience with the following:
    • Adobe CC
    • Plugins (Motion Array, etc.)
    • Slack
    • Monday.com
    • Adobe Premiere
    • Photoshop or After Effects
