JOB DESCRIPTION:

Based in the corporate headquarters office in Kansas City, the Populous HR Team is a small, closely-knit group supporting Populous offices throughout North America. We are looking for an experienced, creative, and driven Learning & Development Coordinator to join our team! The Learning & Development Coordinator is an integral part of the Populous learning ecosystem. Their focus is to support the development and implementation of learning company-wide, which includes direct involvement in the administration of the learning management system alongside the curation and facilitation of learning content.
The Learning & Development Coordinator has strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal), technical know-how, ability to work in a proactive and effective manner independently and with their team,. Highly innovative thinking, the capacity for creatively approaching problem-solving, and the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and change the course of action quickly (highly flexible behavior) while maintaining an attention to detail and accuracy within the required timeframe are key.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Administer the learning management system.
• Partner with Talent and Learning Manager and subject matter experts to develop and maintain a holistic view of learning opportunities.
• Gather information and build awareness with decision-makers who influence the development of learning strategies.
• Coordinate logistics for learning sessions ensuring all staff complete pre-learning activities, learning objects, and applicable follow-up learning tasks.
• Collaborate with the learning team to develop reports on key training metrics to measure effectiveness.
• Track and report learning and development costs related to training logistics and delivery, reporting to Talent and Learning Manager to ensure alignment with overall budgets and goals of Populous’ learning objectives.
• Evaluate and revitalize current learning technology and processes to improve efficiency, including coordination of software integrations and research of new learning technologies.
• Prepare Populous-branded instructor-led and eLearning content through creation and curation.
• Facilitate instructor-led learning and programs.

JOB SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2-5 years of work-related experience
• Demonstrated ability to work with people in a range of roles and personalities
• Leadership and managerial skills, including managing their own follow-through
• Experience consulting and managing vendor and business relationships
• Demonstrated dynamic presentation skills within casual and structured formats
• Possess a positive attitude and the ability to be proactive and resourceful
