As a Learning and Development Coordinator at Heartland Family Services, you will have an opportunity to make a lasting impact on our employee experience through your ability to facilitate and develop trainings, identify needs, research best practices and building strong relationships across the agency. In this role, you will help us to take our day-to-day employee operations to the next level so we can do our best work strengthening individuals, and families through advocacy, education, counseling, and support services.

Compensation Range: $44,500 to $60,300 (per year) based upon experience.
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

What you will do:

  • Facilitate and/or coordinate and develop all initial and ongoing training for employees in accordance with agency contractual requirements and prescribed models.
  • Coordinate and schedule with internal trainers required trainings as needed to ensure adequate opportunities for employees to attend agency and program required training sessions.
  • Organize and schedule event logistics, as well as design and prepare materials for in-person trainings, webinars, workshops, conferences, etc.
  • Maintain current certification in areas assigned to facilitate.
  • Collaborate with Program Directors to assist in monitoring staff growth and development, with an emphasis on needs identification and the facilitation or coordination of services to address these needs.
  • Identify internal and external training programs to address competency gaps.
  • Work closely with the Learning Director to ensure that learning services address employee and agency needs.
  • Research training best practices to stay current with new techniques and practices, as well as best practices in the field and topics related to specific populations/needs.
  • Ensure Council on Accreditation (COA) training standards are met.
  • Develop metrics and competency guides to measure effectiveness of learning programs.
  • Maintain the Learning Management System to ensure consistent and accurate tracking and reporting. Provide procedural information, ongoing support, and guidance to employees.
  • Tabulate data and measure quality of training and development programs through participant feedback and surveys in the LMS.
  • Maintain the internal Learning calendar and schedule and assign training plans and courses in the Learning Management System, Relias, and promote available training opportunities to employees

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, organizational psychology, education, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of training experience required.
  • Knowledge of adult training methodology, instructional design, learning theory and principles
  • High-level of effective interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal plus organization and presentation skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Windows, Power Point, Word and Excel or similar programs required
  • Knowledge of Relias LMS system preferred.
  • Knowledge of Articulate/Storyline 360 system preferred
  • Valid driver’s license/ acceptable driving record

Bachelors or better in Communication or related field.

Experience

Required

2-3 years: Previous related training experience.
