Role: Learning & Development Manager (Reno)
Reports to: Learning & OD Lead
Location: Reno, NV

As the Learning & Development Manager (Reno), you will partner on the development of enterprise-wide learning strategy and tools while working with business leaders to customize our approach within the business units (BU) you serve. In this role, you’ll innovate and facilitate learning experiences that help our team members progress professionally and engage in Patagonia’s mission to save our home planet.
This role supports Patagonia's Reno, NV operations, which includes distribution center, wholesale, dealer services, and all campus service teams. Successful candidates should have experience supporting frontline team members and/or working in organizations that run continuous operations.
What You'll Do
  • Work closely with Reno leaders (Distribution Center, Wholesale, other team), and people & culture leaders to assess needs, develop strategies, communicate approach, and design solutions that support our team members’ success
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to our People & Culture Business Partners and BU leaders on how to apply talent and learning solutions within our teams
  • Partner with enterprise-wide learning and employee experience leaders to design, develop, customize, and execute enterprise-wide and BU-specific learning experiences, programs, tools, and resources
  • Facilitate, schedule, and support engaging multi-model experiential, social, and formal learning experiences that link our mission to individual purpose
  • Lead onboarding by customizing, facilitating, and partnering with team leaders to ensure they have the training, tools, and resources they need to succeed
  • Operationalize & scale learning programs, which includes scheduling, program/project management, communications, coordination with key partners
  • Partner on the development of team development tools and help lead team development experiences
  • Establish and track meaning learning metrics (overall and program-specific) to improve and align with BU and People & Culture leaders

Experience You Bring
  • 4 - 6 years of experience designing, facilitating, operationalizing, and partnering with business leaders to drive learning
  • Preferred degree in human resource management, industrial/organizational psychology, organizational behavior, or management/leadership related topics
  • Experience partnering with business leaders to assess needs and design customized learning solutions
  • Skilled facilitator and communicator (spoken and written) with experience leading objective-driven training on business skills
  • Strong understanding of diversity, justice, equity, and inclusion
  • Strong experience leading learning operations (program management, coordination & scheduling, learning management system, communications, tracking)
  • Experience creating engaging virtual learning experiences (facilitating, creating courses & learning paths, managing users and groups, tracking learning activity, course messaging & communications, content-provider integrations)
  • Experience developing objective-driven training content with instructional design models or approaches
Pay range: $84,513 - $140,892
Hiring range: $105,000 - $125,000
At Patagonia, pay ranges are assigned to a job based on the location specific market median of similar jobs according to 3rd party salary benchmark surveys. Individual pay within that range can vary for several reasons including skills/capabilities, experience, and available budget.
