Line Cook duties and responsibilities

Come join our exciting team in our new restaurant, "Grant's Bar + Lounge" in The Stowe Village Inn! As a line cook, you will be responsible for preparing food using recipes and menu items created by the chef consultants and with your input on menu options. Simple menu of a couple special favorite dishes! Your involvement will help keep the kitchen running smoothly. The line cook's duties and responsibilities include:

• Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
• Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking grab-and-go breakfast, dinner main dishes, desserts, appetizers and snacks
• Plating prepared foods based on tutorial and guidance from chef consultant
• Working with servers and bartenders to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time
• Assist with washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts
• Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations

Ideal candidate is able to work split shift (breakfast from 6am-10am, and dinner 2pm-9pm). Open to discussing multiple opportunities presented by candidates.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
