Title: Line Cook

Reports to: Executive Chef

Compensation: Average per hour with tips is $35 per hour

Who We Are: A small restaurant with a small Team, under a new ownership, and that is open five day a week (Wednesday- Sunday). Career advancement, continuous training and mentorship. Italian/Farm-to-table/PNW cuisine concept. Fine Dinning/up scale operation. 35- 40 seats.

Who You Are: Eagar to learn, attention to detail, fine dinning/up-scale experience (not required but preferred) , great attitude, clean and organized, comfortable working in an open and tight kitchen, Culinary Students are welcome!

Responsibilities:

● Prepare food for service.

● Set up station with all necessary supplies, restocking when necessary.

● Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.

● Ensure that food is ready in a timely manner and of the highest quality.

● Demonstrate a positive and professional and Teamwork approach with colleagues and customers.

● Work efficiently, with an emphasis on accuracy and timing.

● Follow instructions and specifications from the chef, sous chef or lead.

● Maintain a clean work area and follow a thorough sanitation regimen.

● Perform any other actions/responsibilities required by management.

Requirements:

● Proven experience as a restaurant cook or prep cook.

● Excellent understanding of cooking principles, ingredients, following recipes, equipment usage.

● Ability to work well with others as part of a team.

● A positive attitude in a fast paced environment.

● Interest in learning new skills and techniques.

● Compliance with all food safety and handling practices.

● Valid King County Food Handlers Permit.

● Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for long periods of time.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $41.00 per hour
