Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team and is currently recruiting for a Lineperson to work from our manufacturing facility located in Bluffton, IN on Third Shift.

As a Lineperson, this candidate will be responsible for lifting and placing the cases of finished product on the appropriate pallet in the correct configuration once the conveyor system transports the finished product from the packaging area to the palletizer area. The Lineperson will assist in ensuring the plant environment meets food safety cleanliness objectives and operates according to established safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with moving product and materials from packing area to warehouse by pulling jacks filled with product.
• Scans finished product into inventory with use of scanning equipment.
• Maintaining GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Maintaining and following all safety guidelines.
• Maintaining a positive attitude and integrity always.
• Maintaining appropriate housekeeping standards.
• Completes all Palletizing functions in accordance with established quality, packaging and palletizing standards.
• Communicates with Packers, PMO's, Quality Assurance, Dock Operators and Supervision.
• Visually inspects finished product and cases.
• Recognizes finished cases quality issues.
• Applies labels to finished cases to identify, product, brand, code date.
• Ability to trouble shoot issues with Pad Lockers.
• Understand the recycling, baler and Endres operations.
• Ensures work area is kept clean and well-maintained.
• Perform shutdown and startup procedures.
• Perform daily sanitation tasks.
• Perform weekly sanitation tasks.
• Perform Monthly Sanitation tasks.
• Assist QA and shipping with quality holds.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

• This position works Sunday - Thursday from 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM. There is a $0.80 shift differential.
