Paralegal Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced paralegal to support our legal team. You will work closely with our attorneys from the beginning of a case through the end, including if it goes to trial. Candidates must have extensive experience with document review, trial preparation, handling discovery, drafting legal documents, and managing case paperwork. We are seeking a candidate with excellent research skills, who is able to multi-task several assignments, meet deadlines and is proficient in Microsoft Office.

Paralegal Duties and Responsibilities May Include

• Preparing discovery, discovery responses and meet and confer correspondences
• Create reports and documents for lawyers based on case specifications and requests
• Assisting with the preparation, filing and service of pleadings
• Develop and follow a case file indexing system that can be used as an active archive for all ongoing and completed cases
• Assisting with trial preparation including the assembly of exhibits, witness binders and appendices for depositions and court filings
• Summarizing deposition and trial transcripts and exhibits
• Calendaring all dates and deadlines
• Order, review and summarize medical records
• Retain experts and prepare expert files for review

Paralegal Requirements and Qualifications

• At least 5 years of litigation experience in a law firm setting
• Experience managing medium to large-scale document productions
• Working knowledge and competency with case management software
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $54,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Los Angeles, CA 90036: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)
