Live-in Companion/Reverse Host Home Provider Needed
Compensation range: $120-160/day. PLUS free rent!
This compensation arrangement is well-suited to people who have direct care experience or potential caregivers who are currently renting and have a big heart for people with differing abilities.

COMPANION PROVIDER POSITION
We are seeking enthusiastic caregivers who are willing to live with and provide care to an individual who needs support living on his own. Host Home Caregivers share homes and lives with individuals with Developmental Disabilities (IDD). As a Live-In Caregiver you move into the client's home and provide them support and ongoing daily care. You can help someone who has some daily challenges and make a difference in his life.
ABOUT THE INDIVIDUAL:
He is a 25 year old man with IDD. He has his own townhouse in Berthoud and his family is looking for someone to move in with him. Duties include: assisting with meal prep, taking care of the house, laundry, helping prepare for work, maintaining personal hygiene, and taking care of personal care of belongings. You would also help him manage his diabetes and medications.
TO QUALIFY FOR THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY

• Prefer experience providing personal care
• Assistance with managing his diabetes
• Prefer experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Should have a High school or equivalent education (Required)
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
• Must complete training for Medication Administration, CPR/First Aid and maintain ongoing training as deemed necessary
• Experience with diabetes is a plus
• Companions must be willing to be onboarded by Support, Inc and pass the basic requirements
• The above includes completing a full application and passing background and reference checks

The dedicated family and current providers will assist with his person-specific training. This young man will be included with each step of this interview and training process.
Caregivers Duties and Responsibilities:

• Give reminders for personal hygiene
• Prepare nutritious meals and help the individual learn to cook
• Provide a variety of recreational activities to enhance social development
• Include client as though he were family, in life and activities
• Accompany client to supermarkets, museums, parks, dances, recreation centers, Special Olympics, outdoor activities, etc.
• Provide transportation as needed
• Assist with medical care, including managing diabetes, keeping appointments and administering medications
• Provide documentation of progress notes and medical records
• Provide training on life learning skills
