JOB DESCRIPTION:
Haul Down
Under the direction of the Shipping Supervisor, this position must perform the following non-exhaustive list of duties.
Wears specified personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times: hard hat, ear plugs, safety glasses, safety shoes, and protective gloves – to be worn when performing manual tasks. Reports all accidents, incidents, near misses, and injuries immediately to a supervisor.
Must be able to successfully complete required forklift training and testing and obtain a GAF-Dallas license for any power equipment operated.
Responsible for housekeeping in all assigned work areas as designated by the supervisor.
Performs preventive maintenance checks on the lift truck at the beginning of each shift and documents it on the Lift Truck Check Sheet.
Transfers finished goods produced from the production line to a designated storage location, weighs the last pallet of each color change, and fills out a Pallet Movement Ticket.
Consolidates material in locations, and fills out pallet movement sheets for Logistics Planner. Refuels lift truck/ clamp truck when required.
Performs additional tasks as assigned by the shipping supervisor.
