BerryDunn’s Consulting Services Team, with primary offices in Arizona, Maine, and West Virginia focuses nationally on serving the organizational, information technology, and management needs of local and state government agencies. We have worked with more than 400 state and local government agencies throughout the United States. Our Local Government Consulting Group is seeking a Consultant to join our team. Project work will include professional consulting services for the Public Sector, including process analysis, organizational assessments, project management, technology and systems planning, implementation assistance for large-scale enterprise system projects, and fiscal studies. Consultants work with a mix of high-performing teams offering constant varieties of projects in a fast-paced environment with many opportunities for career growth.
The individual we seek has the right mix of demonstrated business analyst capabilities, effective written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Experience working with or for Local Government agencies is preferred as well as experience and/or subject matter expertise in related business processes (Finance, Human Resources, Payroll, Community Development, Time and Attendance, Utilities, Revenue etc.) is desirable. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with many different stakeholders within local government. This position will be remote and willingness to travel 35-50% is required.
Responsibilities:- Assistance in the development, review, distribution, and presentation of project status reports
- Maintains and manages project action items, issues, risks, and decisions
- Analysis, review, and management of vendor supplied documentation
- Assistance in deliverable creation, facilitation, tracking, and maintenance
- Coordinates and manages the scheduling of meetings
- Facilitates and manages any required meeting follow-up (action items, issues, risks, and decisions)
- Assists in required meeting preparations (agenda, meeting materials, etc.)
- Participation in staff/team meetings and trainings
- Frequent, clear, and consistent communication to the client, team members, vendor, and direct reports
- Performs assigned administrative tasks efficiently and effectively, asking questions when instructions are unclear
Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS). May substitute four years of applicable experience for degree.- One year minimum project management experience.
- Knowledgeable in quality assurance/control procedures and demonstrated proactive problem management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to excel in a team setting.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated excellence in both written and verbal skills.
- Excellence in the areas of time management, flexibility, and attention to details.
- One year minimum experience coordinating, scheduling, and managing meetings (inclusive of meeting preparations and follow-up)
