SUMMARY
The Logistics Associate is responsible for working with the Logistics and Spare Parts Manager to ensure shipments are properly scheduled, orders are shipped and materials and supplies are received and properly documented, ensuring an efficient and orderly process. This position handles the detailing of both deliveries to the client as well as receipt and distribution of purchased goods. The responsibilities for this position also entail working closely with providers for cost bidding, purchasing and remote locations for shipments coordination.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance with all applicable rules (federal, state, local, Federal Acquisition Regulations, Code of Federal Regulations, Prime Contract requirements, etc.) both for themselves, their employees, and the company as a whole. Fosters an environment in which they and their employees will report any violations or reasonably suspected violation of CNI policy, FAR, and/or CFR and are comfortable discussing the myriad compliance, conflict, FAR, CFR, etc. issues that arise during the performance of a government contract.
Schedules and coordinates shipments with providers, using competitive bidding processes.
Stages the delivery area with orders prepped for shipment, ensuring all are properly labeled and securely packaged.
Safely loads and unloads deliveries from transport vehicles.
Accepts deliveries, label and distribute as appropriate, verifying materials to shippers.
Ensures the warehouse and shipping areas are maintained neat and orderly.
Updates the database to show the status of purchase orders, pending, shipped, etc.
Possesses the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Follows all policies and procedures for safety.
Learns the process for processing customer orders for parts, working alongside Parts Manager.

Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.
Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions as the best of own ability.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of two (2) years’ relevant
experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education/experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and
100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight
measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written,
oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in
standardized situations.

Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
