Overview

Since inception, CHI St. Alexius Health Turtle Lake has been dedicated to serving the residents of Turtle Lake, ND and the surrounding rural communities. CHI St. Alexius Health includes the Turtle Lake Hospital, Turtle Lake and Washburn Family Clinics. CHI St. Alexius Health Turtle Lake includes services of a 26-bed facility, a rural health clinic, and an emergency department that is available 24 hours a day. We offer many outpatient services, including physical therapy, radiology services, laboratory services, cardiac rehabilitation, and IV treatments.

Responsibilities

*This position is eligible for up to a $10,000 sign on bonus*
  • Admission-assists ChargeNurse with completion of Medical Providers orders on admissions; Assures accurate completion of medication sheets on new admissions.
  • Care Plans-assists in the developement of care plans on admission; changes in patient conditions are reported to Charge nurse and assures care plans are updated.
  • Assesments are performed when notified of a change in patient condition by any member of nursing staff and reported to Charge Nurse; notifing provider of change in patient's condition if requested by Charge Nurse.
  • Medication Dispense-notify pharmacy of any new admits or changes in medication orders; dispense oral medications as ordered and chart accordingly. IV, SQ and IM medications are given according to orders and charted under supervision of the RN.
  • Discharges or changes in level of care-notify pahrmacy of change in patient care level or discharge, under supervision of Charge Nurse, orders explained to patient or cargiver and follow-up appointments and prescription arrangements are made if necessary.
  • All skills performed under the supervison of RN and allowed under Nurse Practice Act. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing
  • ND State Board of Nursing current LPN License.
  • Hold a current CPR; certification of ACLS is encouraged.
Previous Health care experience perferred but not required. New grads welcomed to apply!
