Position Summary

As a key member of the S C Jones Regenerative Health & Wellness team, and an integral part of a professional health care team, the LV Nurse will deliver nursing care in accordance with S C Jones Regenerative Health & Wellness procedures and professional practice standards. You will perform routine nursing duties and ensure that the nursing needs of our patients and our physician are met.

The Licensed Vocational Nurse’s primary role is to work in partnership with Dr. Stanley Jones and other healthcare providers to perform patient care.

Accountability

The Licensed Vocational Nurse reports to and is responsible to the Medical Director. All clinical decision making outside the scope of the Licensed Vocational Nurse must be done in consultation with the Medical Director.

Authority

The Licensed Vocational Nurse does not direct the activities of staff or function without direction of S C Jones Regenerative Health & Wellness decision makers. The Licensed Vocational Nurse must comply with the nursing practice standards for the State of Texas.

Decision Making

On a regular and continuous basis, the Licensed Vocational Nurse exercises clinical judgment and assumes responsibility for decisions, consequences, and results having an impact on people, costs, and/or quality of service within the practice.

Roles and Responsibilities

Duties of the Licensed Vocational Nurse will be listed below:

LVN’s will be encouraged to operate within their scope of practice. They will be encouraged to work co-operatively with all members of the health care team in the promotion of patient health and prevention of disease.

Clinical Duties

Triage incoming patient calls, assess patient health care needs, discuss test results, and respond to questions pertaining to health promotion and disease prevention. Redirect calls to front desk for scheduling when necessary.

For patient appointments, initiate the record of the patients visit, purpose, and health care needs. Measure and record patients’ vitals and prepare patients room for examination by the Physician and take medical history and current symptomatology related to the visit.

IV Stem Cell Therapy

IV Vitamin Therapy

Multi B Injections

Lab Draws with tube spin and prep to send.

Lab Draws with tube spin and prep for PRP

Assist with MRI scheduling

Follow up calls to all IV Stem Cell patients

Pre-treatment calls to patient to assess vitamin therapy needs.

Assist Dr. Jones with all office visits, in-office procedures, consultations, additional test scheduling, prescriptions, referrals to Specialty MD’s.

Maintain accurate, concise, and confidential documentation pertaining to patient history and encounter data within the medical records.

Interprofessional Collaboration

Communicate ideas or concerns to the health care team. Participate in problem solving to enhance patient care.

Assist in the training and development of new staff.

Practice Environment

Use of personal protective equipment with all patients.

Ensure appropriate storage and termination of all IV vitamins.

Ensure emergency medication (epinephrine or Benadryl) are current and accessible.

Maintain clean, orderly, and well-stocked examination rooms at all times.
