Hood Container Corporation (Formerly Ideal Box) is looking for skilled Machine Operators for our world-class Chicago corrugator and converting facility. We are growing our operation and looking for experienced operators to join our 3rd shift team.

Major Areas of Responsibilities:

• Manufacture Corrugated Cartons.
• Operate machinery and equipment according to instructions.
• Comply with all safety and health regulations.
• Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in work area.

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing facility, or similar relevant experience
• Must be detail oriented.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions
• Experience with cutting die repair, matrix, and structural design preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment, to bend, and to stand or walk for long periods of time
• Demonstrated analytical experience.
• Experience with equipment operation and safety guidelines.
• Must be team-oriented, organized, detailed, and able to perform some physical activities.
• Must be willing to work overt-time and weekends.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous machine operator experience preferred.
• White or Green Belt Six Sigma certification preferred.

Applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment test, background investigation and drug screen to qualify for full-time employment.

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift 11pm- 7am (Monday-Friday)
