• Full-Time
• Direct Hire
• $65,000 - $70,000 / year

Job duties for Machine Shop Supervisor positions:

• Manages daily work assignments to the Machine Shop employees and ensures that they are actively working at all times

• Responsible for the training of Machine Operators and Glue Technicians in correct job methods and procedures

• Ensures that all departmental documentation and activities are completed daily, including, proper clocking of work order assignments and real time material issues of material to proper work orders

• Performs in a leadership capacity as necessary within the department

• Provides support and assistance to Machine Shop employees as needed

• Ensures compliance with quality assurance procedures and work instructions

• Responsible for observance and application of all company safety policies and procedures

• Responsible that all Machine Shop employees use properly calibrated measuring devices

• Attend, participate in and contribute to regularly scheduled production meetings

• Lead daily, morning team meetings

• Other duties as needed

These skills and abilities make you a great candidate for these positions:

• Bachelor's degree, or high school diploma plus a minimum of five years’ experience in manufacturing required. Or seven (7) years of related work experience in a lean manufacturing environment

• Manufacturing project management experience with a history of successfully meeting deadlines

• A demonstrated history of working well with and leading small teams

• Excellent analytical skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Previous experience in leadership or management

• New product/production cell launch experience

• A solid understanding of machining and machine shop practices

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
