Job Title: Maintenance Lead

Location: Fort Benton, MT

Position Description:

The Maintenance Lead will be a key player on the operations team. This position will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, preventative maintenance of plant equipment and heavy equipment and building and grounds maintenance.

Primary Functions and Essential Responsibilities:

· Coordinate, schedule and conduct Preventative Maintenance activities.

· Work closely with Plant Management to ensure all equipment is working optimally and in a safe manner.

· Take ownership of safety processes; perform maintenance safety program audits on current policies and procedures (lockout/tag out, confined space, fall protection)

· Perform Job Hazard Analysis

· Responsible for equipment maintenance and reliability throughout the plant and will maintain and repair heavy industrial machinery, which includes plant equipment, piping systems, fluid power systems, cutting, burning and all types of welding (mig, tig, ARC).

· Troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, modifying, rebuilding, and maintaining plant equipment and heavy equipment.

· Monitor equipment and scheduling maintenance and repairs to ensure disruptions to operations are minimal.

· Maintain accurate records regarding work requests and work orders and preventive maintenance activities.

· Ensure all maintenance and repairs are done timely and accurately in accordance with food safety programs and any other standards.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· A two-year technical degree is a plus.

· Must have 5 years’ proven mechanical/electrical experience within a manufacturing environment.

Required Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

· Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues to determine repairs that are needed.

· Ability to plan maintenance schedules including preventative maintenance schedules.

· Must have technical skills and knowledge of various crafts such as electrical, welding/fabrication, hydraulic systems and building maintenance.

· Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations.

· Understanding of budgeting and scheduling.

· Understanding and knowledge of Quality Assurance (QA), Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) standards, and Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP)

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

· Must have diagnostic and troubleshooting skills pertaining to PLC’s, VFD’s, 480 3-phase, 240-V and 120-V electrical systems and components.

· Must be a self-starter with the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
