The Maintenance Reliability Scheduler is tasked with initiating improvements in process reliability within the manufacturing environment. The Maintenance Reliability Scheduler will both enhance existing and develop new, equipment reliability programs. The role will document progress towards a more dependable Plant, including a pro-active, hands-on approach to maintenance, and a vision for long-term stability.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*

  • Support, enhance, and develop equipment and process reliability programs
  • Assesses service requests for validity, accuracy, clarity, and completeness. Ensures compliance and expectations prior to approving service request.
  • Manages and directs/assigns the work order and service request backlog
  • Supports operational teams on setting priorities and resolving issues.
  • Order parts and equipment, track inventory, create reports, compare purchase orders to invoices, verify physical inventories, locate parts as need, and create shortage reports.
  • Review job orders to determine work priorities.
  • Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
  • Prioritizes and plans work orders based on asset criticality
  • Maintaining Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) data for equipment, preventive maintenance (PM), predictive maintenance (PdM), calibrations, spare parts, and bills of materials (BOMs) in support of maintenance work management.
  • Plans all aspects of non-emergency work orders to include parts required, estimated labor hours, special tools, detailed instructions and any coordination with contractors, other departments and support groups.
  • Partners with maintenance, operations, quality, Storeroom and vendors as necessary to ensure backlog work orders include everything necessary to execute the work order
  • Partners with other plant personnel to plan and schedule maintenance work
  • Works with technicians and Manufacturing engineers to create Preventive Maintenance (PM) / Predictive Maintenance (PDM) job plans to include parts required, technical specifications, special tools and detailed/hands on instructions
  • Manages the maintenance job plan library
  • Utilizes parts kitting process for PMs and all other work orders that can be scheduled and kitted
  • Utilizes work order statuses to correctly partition work orders
  • Discusses job details with originator of the work order as needed to clarify work and plan as required
  • Creates and tracks KPI related to reliability
  • Schedules or participates in review meetings to be sure we are hitting our reliability KPI
  • Develops reliability plans for new equipment with the tool owner.
  • Develop a comprehensive analysis of all equipment including Asset Criticality Rankings
  • Support the critical parts program for both capital and non-capital spares
  • Work with maintenance to develop a reliability plan that documents tasks, methods, tools, tests and analyses required to ensure the process equipment is safe and reliable
  • Coordinate with the training department to create standard work instructions for training mechanics and electricians around equipment PMs
  • Participate in preparing schedules and work estimates for reliability activities
  • Coordinate with maintenance and manufacturing to identify key areas for reliability improvements, develop action and implementation plans
  • Utilize tools to obtain valuable maintenance and equipment reliability data which highlights areas of need and triggers improvement projects
  • Provide support for equipment troubleshooting and conduct root cause failure analysis investigations on failed equipment, develop action plan to eliminate repeat failures, and implement corrective actions
  • Work with manufacturing and process engineers to develop reliability requirements for both new and existing equipment and instrumentation
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:*

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of related industrial maintenance work experience
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of typical maintenance tasks, including PM, spare parts, work order lifecycle and troubleshooting systemic problems. General principles of engineering, operations and the tools and equipment required to perform many of the daily maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to learn how to effectively use Asset Essentials to accomplish all items listed above
  • Knowledge of cGMP and cGDP requirements and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of Computerized Calibration & Maintenance Management Systems (CCMS/CMMS)
  • Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small groups
  • Understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions and read and comprehend written work instructions including words and drawings.
  • Must have basic English written and oral communication skills adequate to communicate with other team members
  • Strong computer skills including advanced proficiency in Inventory Software, MS Office, specifically MS Excel.
