Royal Gold is a manufacturer of premium potting soils located here in beautiful Humboldt County. We are currently seeking a qualified, experienced individual to join our team as an Automation Technician, supporting our maintenance team. As part of our team, you will maintain and troubleshoot our automation components and parts. This includes sensors, PLC controls, motors, conveyors, and other vital elements of the machinery. Maintenance - Automation Technician
Employment Type: Full-time
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Install, maintain and replace automation system components.
- Troubleshoot non-functioning components including motors, servos, sensors and control components.
- Log equipment usage, identify key part replacement, and schedule maintenance.
- Effectively communicate problems that impact equipment and suggest actions, including approximate time required for correction and emergency maintenance required.
- PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) knowledge and troubleshooting.
- Responsible for cleanup of equipment and removal of replaced parts from work areas after repairs are completed.
- Responsible for minor utility work such as machining holes, brackets; cutting steel; aligning sensors; attaching Unistrut; etc.)
- Perform system inspections on equipment and documents all actions and repairs to include parts used and ordered.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Preferred experience with automation.
- Electrical experience is a plus.
- Experience in a fast paced production environment.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to communicate with service technicians, team members and leadership.
- Show reliability and maintain satisfactory attendance
- Proficient in performing all Inspection function
Compensation: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
