Position Description:
Simpson, a leading manufacturer in racing safety products, has an opening for a full time first shift maintenance technician position at its New Braunfels, Texas location. We are looking for a team oriented individual with strong mechanical abilities.
Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment including manual and automatic sewing equipment, hydraulic presses, paint sprayers, light assembly equipment, etc. as required.
• Maintain and perform general repairs to plant building, plumbing, electrical, lighting, emergency, and pneumatic systems as required.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and oversee special repair/new equipment projects.
• Maintain spare parts and re-order replacements as needed.
• Participate on safety committee and help identify potential safety issues and develop/implement corrective action plan.
• Assist in production operations as needed.

Education:

• Minimum: High School Diploma/GED

Skills and Qualifications:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Organized with high attention to detail
• Dependable with excellent attendance record
• 2+ years general maintenance experience preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• Knowledge of industrial sewing machines a plus

Physical Demands:

• Occasional lifting/carrying of 20-40 pounds
• Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling
