ASSEMBLY SOLUTIONS

As a global supplier of solder technologies, fluxes, cleaners, and other attachment materials for the electronics assembly industry, we develop innovative materials that join electronic circuits in high volume device manufacturing. Our high-performing interconnect materials are used to assemble consumer electronics from circuit boards, discrete electronic components, connectors, and integrated circuit substrates.

Job Purpose

The general purpose of this position is to perform ongoing facility maintenance and complete repairs on equipment. Duties may include fixing machinery, plumbing, heating, electrical wiring, and other site related maintenance.

Job Responsibilities

A Maintenance Technician will usually be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks around a facility. Some other tasks a Maintenance Technician may be called upon to do include:

• Inspects and identifies equipment, machines, or building infrastructure in need of repair
• Utilizes diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications when troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Performs routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, windows, doors, or wall repairs.
• Repairs broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage.
• Interacts and works with equipment and grounds contractors as needed for specialized repairs.
• Controls downtime by informing R&D employees of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Fixes potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
• Painting the building when old paint has become faded or chipped
• Supports staff with office layouts, movement of furniture, etc.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Must possess a minimum of five years of experience in the maintenance technician field
• An Associate’s degree in a technical discipline is desired
• Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs or other drainage problems
• Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building’s electricity
• Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building
• Interpersonal skills to interact with employees or residents of the building in a pleasant manner
• Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked
• Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building
• Ability to follow SOP, work instructions, safety instructions and regulations, adhere to OSHA standards and requirements
