Key accountabilities & deliverables:

• Provides general and preventative maintenance support to help equipment meet/exceed operating standards in the areas of quality, cost, safety, customer satisfaction and productivity as well as minimizing downtime
• In support of production, needs to effectively and efficiently adjust Temperature(s), Belt Speed(s), Air Flow, Coating Viscosity/Flow Rate, Bagger speed and functionality and Conveyors and weigh scales
• Performs preventive maintenance to ensure that machines run at their maximum capacity through cleaning, lubricating, greasing and/or oiling
• Performs facility maintenance including assisting in servicing and replacing minor plumbing fixtures and performing minor electrical work not requiring a licensed electrician
• Participates on special projects as directed by the Maintenance Manager
• Expected to occasionally make recommendations for continuous improvement (productivity, quality, cost and/or safety).
• Complete all paperwork neatly, correctly, on time and in accordance with Company guidelines.
• Work with common hand and power tools, such as hammers, saws, drills, wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
• Able to work alone or as a team member.
• Able to perform Machine Operator tasks.
• Follow all plant safety and GMP rules and regulations.
• Follows all safety and GMP safety rules and procedures.
• Other Duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Electrical & mechanical experience required
• 3 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent
• Experience in operating and maintaining state of the art manufacturing equipment
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
• MS Office
• Excel / Spreadsheets

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• HACCP (Food Safety) and Food Quality (desirable)
