Job Summary
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to operate out of our Conover facility. The Maintenance Technician maintains and troubleshoots equipment and machinery to minimize downtime.
Job Location
Conover, NC
Shift Availability: Overnight Shift 6pm-6am | Day shift 6am-6pm: 2-2-3 schedule
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
· Responsible for equipment safety.
· Maintain, troubleshoot, and resolve all equipment malfunction of plant machinery.
· Assembly, disassembly and upgrade of converting equipment as required.
· Document all maintenance activities and champion preventative maintenance programs.
· Take proactive measures to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
· All other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Experience and Qualifications
· Education: High School Diploma or credentialed equivalent in English & Mathematics
· A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in a Maintenance role.
· Must have Mechanical experience. Electrical preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
· Must have troubleshooting and problem resolution experience.
· Ability to complete assignments with limited supervision.
· Ability to read and interpret documents and blue print drawings.
· Working Conditions: Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods; ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 50 pounds and endure elevated temperature levels.
· Ability to work in a fast paced environment with a focus on quality.
· Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to understand detailed written and/or oral instructions including basic mathematical skills.
· Overtime requirements: Overtime as needed daily or weekends based upon business needs.
Attendance
· Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.
Training Required On-site orientation and training will be provided.
