The Housing Company, a non-profit organization, has an opening for a maintenance person at the Fox Creek Place apartments in Driggs, Idaho. This is a full-time position, and you will be expected to work 40 hours a week.
Our Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and repair of the apartment complex. They perform routine maintenance tasks such as fixing plumbing and electrical systems, repairing appliances, and ensuring that common areas are clean and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaks, and repairing appliances.
- Respond in a timely manner to work orders requested by tenants.
- Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure that it is in good condition.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests, such as flooding or power outages, in a timely and professional manner.
- Keep common areas of the property clean and well-maintained.
- Perform unit turnovers
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
- Work with vendors and contractors as needed to complete larger repair projects.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training in building maintenance or related field preferred.
- Have a valid driver's license and active auto insurance
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with fair housing laws and regulations preferred but not required
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background
