Maintenance Technician - Full-Time - Senior Living
Job description
We are seeking a responsible Maintenance Technician to help us preserve a safe, attractive, well-functioning community. You'll perform an interesting variety of tasks such as unit turns, painting, light plumbing/electrical, carpentry & landscaping. A Maintenance Technician is a proactive professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work on their own while interacting effectively with residents and observing all safety guidelines. The goal is to provide excellent customer service while maintaining the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition to make residents feel comfortable in their home.
Springwell Senior Living Community is a provider of full-service Independent Living, Traditional Assisted Living, and Memory Care Assisted Living located on a beautiful 15 acre campus in historic Mount Washington, close to the Baltimore City/County line. We currently offer 104 Independent Living residences, 94 Assisted Living and 37 Memory Care residences.

Responsibilities
- Maintain buildings in a way to assure a clean, safe, attractive environment with properly functioning systems.
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.
- Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
- Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. unit turns, preventative maintenance, etc) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)
Skills
- Proven experience as maintenance technician
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and other systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
- High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
