As Trex is the composite decking leader of the world, we as the Maintenance Department help to take that lead to another level in our world class maintenance department.

Do you have to buy your own tools or get a very small tool allowance? We offer a $3,500 tool allowance to start and an $800 yearly allowance. We know that you need good tools to do good work.

Do you have limited experience but very willing to learn to be a world class craft maintenance technician? We offer a minimum of 96 hours of training each year. And it isn't the boring online stuff, either. This is hands-on vendor-lead and working with our actual equipment. We are willing to invest in the right people with the right attitude.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintain all mechanical systems including weight feeders, scales, conveyors, hot oil, steam, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and equipment.
• Repair all electrical, electronic systems including servo equipment, photo eyes, electronic sensors, temperature controls, and combustion equipment.
• Troubleshoot programmable logic controls and understand ladder logic.
• Responsible for metal fabrication, machining, welding and facility maintenance.
• Be a team player for a world class maintenance department that utilizes, state of the art vibration analyzation and ultrasound preventative maintenance technologies.
• Support engineering in the improvement of and/or development and implementation of new products and processes.
• Perform housekeeping duties to keep up plant appearance and ensure it operates in an acceptable and safe manner.
• Work on a safe team that always works in an efficient manner.
• Perform special processes and projects as required by Maintenance Supervisor and/or Maintenance Manager.

Skills Preferred:

• Have high self-motivation, self-accountability and a logical troubleshooting thought process.
• Working knowledge of motors, drivers, control wiring and PLC’s preferred but not required.
• Previous electromechanical experience in an industrial environment preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 1-year maintenance experience or skilled trade maintenance or installation trade or 4 Years of Trex manufacturing experience.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, standing for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Must be able to wear PPE at all times.
• Must be able to work in team environment and communicate well with others.
