Electric Power Systems is looking for a Manager, Data Science & Analytics Professional to join our team in Rockford, IL. The Manager will be responsible in helping to develop digital solutions for cross-functional teams both inside and outside EPS Operations.

Hybrid:

  • Must be a commutable distance from Rockford, Illinois to work a hybrid schedule reporting on-site as needed

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ownership and ad-hoc maintenance / break-fix support of database and virtual server locations
  • Inactive maintenance of EPS Operations and functional tower tools
  • Oversight of automation scripts in service of critical business operations
  • Tutelage and support of SQL and VBA macros and scripting
  • Migration of existing Digital tools into Telerik .NET framework
  • Active co-led development of the Digital flagship program HELIOS (estimated for 1+ years)
  • Acting as liaison between Digital Strategy team and Manufacturing Operations functional tower teams
  • Constructing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and Tableau visualizations
  • Partnering support of EPS functional tower teams
  • Ad-hoc support of existing Digital tools, metrics reports, fledgling scripts and macros, and internal customer Digital needs
  • Compilation of standard work and execution documentation for Digital tools, cross-functional process flow, and Digital project triage and troubleshooting
  • Investigation of Digital solution architecture for cross-functional teams both inside and outside EPS operations
  • Percolation and execution support of Digital Strategy tools to other Power & Controls plant sites

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeable with at least one web stack, one desktop stack, and one mobile stack is preferred.
  • Experience with Stack stands for Front End UI, Middleware Software, and Data Storage for an application is preferred
  • Experience in 2 stacks with 1+ years each and working knowledge of the third stack type is preferred.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies as well as agile design thinking and Agile Certification (or 3+ years working in the agile framework) is preferred.
  • Experience in data conversion, manipulation, and extraction methodologies including non-Excel experience working with data methodologies is preferred.
  • Certifications in relative technologies, not including boot camp certifications (from a standard certifying body such as Pearson, Oracle, SAFe, SAS, Microsoft, etc.) is preferred.
  • Experience with the following: SQL, APIs, Web Apps, XML/ JSON, Net, Kanban boards, VBA is preferred.
  • Working experience (1+ years) with each of these with a focus on SQL, VBA) is preferred.
