Job Title: IT Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified IT Manager to join the MixMode team. This individual will work closely with our team to maximize employee efficiency and ensure smooth day-to-day operations for both on-site and remote employees. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for all internal IT infrastructure and the services that employees depend on. You should be able to plan and orchestrate work to ensure that deadlines are met and organizational goals are achievable.

The ideal candidate will understand that IT is a strategic position geared towards making employees efficient while protecting the company’s core IP and data. This role will guide the company on best use of software across the company. You know how people should use software, where things should be saved and can communicate that to the organization. You must understand how to best keep the company’s files and data organized and easy to find for all employees. In your first few months, you should work with all departments to understand their workflows and design systems that make them efficient. You must know Windows and Mac, plus must be an expert in using cloud services.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be For MixMode:

• Care about our people and provide patient, exemplary, technology support
• Collaborate with and support the Employee Experience, ensure IT services are delivered in as low friction a way as possible
• Manage technical aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding experience
• Maintaining essential IT Operations, including operating systems, security tools, local and SaaS applications, MDM solutions, laptops, software, and hardware
• Work with both Windows and Mac environments
• Guide the employees to best practice use of software to ensure employees operate effectively and efficiently
• Oversee the backend software infrastructure to meet user needs across various department with different software applications while ensuring security and SOC2 compliance
• Must be an expert in how employees engage with software in cloud environments
• Implement and maintain an IT company asset management system
• Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
• Execution of SOC2 controls
• Continue to use automation to tackle problems and reduce friction for our people while keeping security and simplicity in mind
• Provision hardware and software in a timely manner to ensure employee efficiency and productivity
• Set up equipment in-office and/or ship to remote locations
• Use data, metrics, and reporting to bring a new level of maturity to the MixMode team
• Look down the road and provide outstanding solutions for our business needs by engaging with leadership
• Adapt to changes of direction because, hey, startup life

Requirements:

• A desire and ability to constantly learn and improve yourself
• A college degree or some reasonable and well-articulated substitute
• Proven working experience (5+ years) in IT management and operations
• Strong background in SaaS productivity and communication tools (GSuite, Slack, OKTA, Atlassian suite)
• A strong grasp on Identity and Access Management, such as Okta, GSuite, etc.
• Knowledge in MDM tools like Jamf, Kandji, etc
• Experience with operating systems (macOS, Windows, and ideally Linux), current equipment and technologies, and system performance monitoring
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure and operations best practices, policies and regulations
• Great project management skills, including organization, planning, time management and prioritization
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Customer service and interpersonal skills
• Good written and verbal communication with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.

Additional bonus for:

• Proficiency with automation, especially using API’s
• Experience with or knowledge of programming languages (Python, Bash, Ruby)
• Configuring and using SAML authentication
