Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced supply chain manager to join our Warehouse Management team. In this role, you’ll oversee operations of the MA central warehouses and crew location stock rooms. This leader will work closely with the Electric and Gas businesses and the regional Inventory Management teams to ensure timely supply of materials for all operational needs.


Key Accountabilities

  • Accountable for the overall operation and continuous improvement of the Sutton NEDC: receiving, picking, space management and the logistics required to move materials to and from 44 crew locations
  • Accountable for operation and continuous improvement of the storerooms in all crew locations for gas and electric, as well as the Wilmington gas warehouse location
  • Manage a team of Supervisors to effectively execute day to day operations
  • Lead the NE Warehouse Management team in all storm support activities
  • Serve as a warehouse leadership point of contact for electric and gas Operations, Engineering, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Inventory Management, and other groups
  • Working with union leadership and NG Labor Relations to successful manage the represented labor workforce
  • Instill a strong safety culture and drive accountability of all safety related objectives
  • Accountable for warehouse management cost control and associated metrics
  • Manage the hiring, training, performance and development of the team, creating an inclusive and comfortable culture and environment
  • Support the successful exit of the Rhode Island Energy Transitional Services Agreement (TSA)
  • Monitor all facilities related issues in the Sutton warehouse, working with our Facilities team where applicable
  • Continually improve supply chain processes – working with Process Teams as well as application of technology, digital products, and data-driven solutions

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years knowledge and related experience in warehouse management, supply chain, and/or electric/gas operations.
  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Experience managing a union workforce preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of warehouse operations and processes
  • Experience with SAP and/or other materials management systems
  • Demonstrated evidence of analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience and understanding of the gas and electric operations businesses preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Experience conducting root cause analyses

More Information

Salary
$118,000 - $139,000 a year
Salary commensurate with location and experience
